Terms of use
Last updated 28 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when a business ("you") uses RunDesk, the online software provided by the RunDesk operator (currently Newcastle Skip Co) ("RunDesk", "we", "us"). RunDesk is for businesses, not consumers. By starting a trial or subscription, or by using RunDesk, you agree to these terms on behalf of your business. The person accepting them must be authorised to do so.
2. Your account and your logins
- You choose who in your business gets a login and what each login can use. You're responsible for what happens under your logins.
- Logins are for one person each. Don't share passwords; tell us straight away if you think a login has been misused.
- Your RunDesk admin can add, change and remove logins in Office › Users.
3. Free trial
New businesses can try RunDesk free for 30 days without a card. If you don't continue after the trial, we delete the trial company's data. We may end a trial early if it's being misused.
4. Fees and payment
- Fees are shown on our pricing page or in your quote, in Australian dollars, excluding GST. GST is added to your tax invoice.
- Monthly subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Annual prepay is billed yearly in advance.
- Your fee follows the number and type of logins you have. If you add logins or add-ons, your fee goes up from that point; if you remove them, it goes down from the next bill.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change. Annual prepay prices don't change during the year you've paid for.
- If a payment is overdue, we may make your RunDesk read-only (you can still see and export your data) until it's paid.
5. Your data
- You own the data you put into RunDesk (your customers, jobs, invoices, photos and records). You give us permission to store and process it to provide RunDesk to you and to support you.
- We handle personal information as set out in our privacy policy. For your customers' personal information, you decide what is entered and why, and you must have the right to give it to us.
- You can export your data while your subscription is active. After it ends, we delete your company's data within 90 days.
- Keep your own copies of records you're required to keep, such as tax invoices (5 years) and any records your environment regulator requires.
6. Using RunDesk properly
Don't use RunDesk to break the law, send spam, store sensitive information it isn't designed for (such as health information), try to access other companies' data, test its security without our written permission, or overload or copy the service.
7. Availability, support and changes
- We aim to keep RunDesk available at all times, but it relies on the internet and on providers (such as Supabase and Cloudflare), and we sometimes need maintenance. RunDesk is designed to keep working on your devices when it can't reach the server, and sends changes when it can.
- Support is provided by email during business hours, Sydney time.
- We improve RunDesk regularly. We won't remove a core feature you rely on without reasonable notice.
8. Other services
Some features connect to services run by other companies — for example payment providers, Xero, map services, or Claude (Anthropic). Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for those services.
9. Your responsibilities
RunDesk helps you run your business, but you remain responsible for your prices, invoices and tax, your licences and environmental obligations, safety on your sites and vehicles (including prestart checks and fixing faults), and how your staff use the app on the road. Drivers must never use RunDesk in a way that breaks road rules.
10. Intellectual property
We own RunDesk, its software and its brand. You get a right to use it for your business while your subscription or trial is active. Ideas and feedback you send us can be used to improve RunDesk.
11. Australian Consumer Law and liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Where the law allows, our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
Otherwise, to the extent the law allows: we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits or lost data you could have kept copies of), and our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months.
12. Ending your subscription
- You can cancel at any time. Monthly subscriptions end at the end of the paid month; annual prepay isn't refunded for the unused part of the year unless the law requires it.
- We may suspend or end your access if you seriously breach these terms, or with 60 days' notice for any other reason (with a refund of any prepaid fees for the unused period).
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll tell your RunDesk admin at least 30 days before a change that affects you materially. Continuing to use RunDesk after that means you accept the change.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales can hear disputes about them.
